The Nitty Gritty ---
Teams: 3 person teams, either coed or single gender. Coed is the premier category and will be ranked higher. 2 Person teams may race, and will rank below 3 person teams.
Support: No support is required, you'll pre-stage your gear with your vehicle at the beach parking lot.
License: USARA National Qualifier,
USARA license required; $35 per year, or $8 per single event
Disciplines: Mountain biking, running/hiking, paddling, navigation.
Maps: All checkpoints are pre-plotted. Orienteering and Topo maps are provided. Additional maps are allowed (but they won't help!)
Awards / Prizes: Top finishers in each category
(must have at least 3 teams in category) $400 towards Nationals to top coed team
Packet Pickup: Friday evening 6 - 8pm
Race Briefing: Saturday morning
Lodging: Pawtuckaway has camping facilities, call the park to reserve your spot: 1-877-nhparks (1-877-647-2757)
Registration: Online - Will open in May (After 8/20/10 - NO Guarantee of t-shirts, but no price increase)
Refund Policy: All but 1/3 of the entry fee (considered the deposit) is refundable up to 4 weeks prior to race start. After 4 weeks, anything over the deposit is redeemable within one year for credit towards a Racing Ahead, LLC event.
